Choose the oils you love in whatever form, CEBs will work with everything from silicone to vegetable butter, they mix easily and are ready to use. Now you don’t have to spend time looking for a specific combination, and why is the one you really want always the most expensive, by the way? Just create it yourself.
DIY Skincare with CEB®
If you are new to DIY skincare, creating your own lotions, cremes and so on can seem a little daunting, but CEB® makes it super easy, so don’t worry. Made from renewably sourced raw materials and with fully documented quality control throughout, you can trust CEB® to be good for your skin and perform perfectly, every time.
The quality emulsifiers in our patented CEB® system means that you can make a creme or lotion with high loading levels for any oil you want, and additions such as antioxidants or oatmeal work perfectly too. If you have dry skin issues and wish to add humectants, or use niacinamide for skin tightening, that is all fine too.
DIY cosmetics don’t have to be complex either, just measure the amount of CEB® you need, usually it will be between 5 and 10% of the total volume of product you want to make, then add your oil, between 10 and 20% of the total volume, and heat to 65°C. As those ingredients mix together, you can then focus on the water base.
This is just as easy, measure out the water you need to complete the volume you are looking for, then add in all your colorants, extracts, botanicals, humectants, stabilizers, pH adjusters and anything else you want. Don’t forget to add an antimicrobial preservative to avoid issues when storing in a bottle, we include some in every DIY kit, then give the mixture a good stir.
Now you need to combine the two parts, so heat the water mixture to the same 65°C as your oil/CEB® mixture and then add the two together, mixing well for about half an hour while the batch is cooling.
