Antioxidants are functional cosmetic ingredients used to protect both the formula and the skin from damage caused by oxidation. In cosmetic chemistry, they work by neutralizing free radicals that can degrade oils, fragrances, and sensitive actives, helping maintain product quality, appearance, and performance over time.

Why Antioxidants Are Used in Cosmetics
